Applesauce

Moose had applesauce for the first time this evening.  He liked it much better than plain rice cereal!

First train ride!

Today Moose got to go on his first train ride!  We chugged around on the train for about twenty minutes, and he seemed to completely enjoy it!  Notice the blanket wrapped around his head in most of the pictures.  It was cold and windy out, but being slightly inexperienced parents we hadn't thought to bring a hat for him!  Thus the makeshift blanket hat...it worked, and Moose wasn't complaining!

Thursday

Thursday we ate lunch at In-n-Out and Moose was very interested in having a burger of his own!  He's going to have to wait a while for that, though. :)

Mommy and Moose took a picture on the big pink pig at Big Bubba's BBQ in Merced.  It was a yummy meal!

Relaxing with his Daddy and a bottle, before heading to bed!

Chillin' in the tub!

Spin it!

Choo-Choo!

Moose was thrilled with the train game Mommy was playing with him today.  He laid on Mommy's lap while she bounced her legs and said "chug a chug a chug a chug a chug a" and then "Choo-choo!"  He smiled and laughed over and over!

Moose spent the morning with his Daddy. They played together, had a bottle (well, Moose did anyway), and watched some TV.  After his Daddy went to work, Mommy gave him another bottle and he babbled away telling her all about the fun he had with his Daddy!

Sneaky little baby

This evening Moose was playing and dozing in his crib over at his Gramma and Grampa's house.  He started to whimper a little bit, and then got a little bit louder.  His Gramma jumped up and ran into his room.  She carried him out into the dining room, and that sneaky little baby had the biggest smile on his face.  He was clearly saying "I won!" about getting to come out of the crib.  He then sat on Gramma's lap and grinned at all of us.  It was hilarious!  I snapped a picture of him while he was enjoying his "victory."

We brought him home and fed him some cereal.  He ate the entire bowl and hardly spit any out.  Afterward he sat on his Daddy's lap and tried his hardest to convince us he wasn't tired enough to go to bed!  He's such a darling little guy that it was easy to give in to him for a few minutes.  Then he got cranky and went straight to his crib.  He went to sleep immediately without even a peep out of him.

Every day he gets funnier and more precious to us!  Being Mommy and Daddy to such a wonderful little man is such a joy!  His sweet, quick little smile is enough to melt anyone's heart.  He's becoming quite the little flirt with strangers, and likes to grin at them and peek at them from over the shoulder of whoever is holding him.  Too cute!!

Beautiful blossoms!

I am so lucky that my job allows me to work in the midst of such beauty!

Moose loves his "spa time"

Moose loves his "spa time" at Gramma and Grampa's house.  Grampa pours water under his body and makes bubbles with it, which makes Moose very happy.  He likes the lavender bubble bath, too (and even eats it at times, sneaky little guy).  He likes his bath water hot, but his Gramma and Grampa like it to be more lukewarm.  I made his bath water the other day, and it was hot like usual.  I put him in and his Gramma said "He's burning and he doesn't know it!"  Uh, is that possible? :)  At any rate, he enjoyed the bath and I guess the bath water temperature debate will go on!  One thing we all agree on is that he is extremely cute in his bath!
