16 week (4 month) belly picture

I finally got around to taking a picture of my belly.  Depending what I wear, it's either fairly obvious or it just looks like I am a little chunky.  With the shirt up though it's quite a bit more obvious, so that's what I am posting.  So to all those that requested a pic, there ya go.

On a related note, I am starting to feel lots of little flutters from the baby.  As I sit here typing this I have felt probably 8 little flutters in my side! It's very cool!  Next Friday we are going in for an ultrasound to find out if the little one is a boy or a girl.  I am really excited about that.  I hope this next week goes quickly!

Mother's Day

Or should it be Mother To Be Day for me?  Either way, Branden and I had a fun day.  We met friends in the morning and trained the dogs together.  Then we went and ate lunch at Daniel's with Brian, Sheryl, and Kiana.  I had one eye on the sky, as it was getting awfully stormy looking.  Right after lunch we took off for Pine Flat Lake for my first ride in the boat.  The pictures tell the story well!

                                                                         Beautiful!

                                                                    Me enjoying the boat

And then, not so good...we ran out of gas.  The fuel coupling (or something) came loose on the way up and most our gas spilled out, but we didn't know it.  So way back in the lake, with like 4 boats on the entire lake, we ran out of gas.  We tried rowing, but that was futile.  I sat there watching the sky get more stormy, praying it wouldn't thunderstorm with us stranded in the middle of the lake.  After maybe 35 minutes a boat with 2 oakies came by, loaded to the max with camping stuff.  They had mercy on us and agreed to tow us in!  So below is us getting towed in (and a closeup of it as well LOL), while they fished the entire way. It took almost an hour.  Thank goodness they showed up though.  All in all we had a great time at the lake!  We'll just be taking extra gas from now on.  ;)

The blob becomes clearer!

I went in for another ultrasound today.  I am about 13 1/2 weeks along.  This time we were able to see a little more detail.  The profile of the baby's face is clear, and the little nose is there!  You can also see the spine along the bottom of the picture.  The doctor says the baby is developing perfectly, and everything looks normal.  It was exciting to see the little thing dancing around in there!
